we've already made the link between superman and jesus christ, at least by the time he died fighting doomsday and then came back, and we all knew about jay-z's other moniker, hova, so really it's like he's been telling us this all along. also, this is a panel from aztek, the ultimate man, published around '96, the same year jay-z's reasonable doubt saw release. this is like that time clark kent (also the name of one of jay's longtime collaborators, wink wink) showed up in town the same day as a certain blue suited superhero!
